101 Things in 1,001 Days

Things 76 and 77: Organize CDs and DVDs in alphabetical order. Record all the CDs I own either in a TXT file or using my alphabetization script (created previously).

Completed on June 30 2008
76. Organize CDs and DVDs in alphabetical order.

I've actually had my DVDs organized for quite a while now but I've only just got through organizing all my CDs. A lot of the burned/blank ones I couldn't exactly put in alphabetical order but wherever they are, they're in as much order as they can be. I separated the mix CDs from the full burned albums and alphabetized the CDs I own that are in cases. It's all very lovely and I hope that I've created a system that will let me find things easier. Indeed, I was going through my burned DVDs and CDs and I didn't realize quite how many I had! I'm glad I decided also to list them.

77. Record all the CDs I own either in a TXT file or using my alphabetization script (created previously).

In addition to recording a list of all the CDs I own I also recorded a list of all my DVDs and records (vinyl) even though those weren't originally part of my plan. Well, I think I have a pretty impressive collection anyway, so it's nice to be able to show it off.

I decided to go ahead and use my alphabetization script since I'd made it and wasn't using for anything anyway. You can view my lists:

· CDs/Records - you have the options of viewing all, viewing CDs only, or viewing records only.
· DVDs - you have the options of viewing alphabetical by title, or by the year the movie was released.

Thing 62: Have one super expensive date night in Old Town Alexandria.

Completed on June 13 2008
On our "super expensive date night" in Old Town, we dressed up - really, formally, and for no particular reason - and had an expensive dinner over at the Bilbo Baggins restaurant. After that we found ourselves in a theater showing the new Indiana Jones movie which required everyone to purchase a concession, including our $4 bottles of water. It was a nice theater and maybe at another time when money is falling out of our pockets we'll be able to go back and actually have dinner (yes - the theater serves dinner!), but at the time we just thought it was ridiculous. However! It fit in my expensive date night goal, and I'm really glad we did it. After the movie we walked along the pier, him in his suit and me in my dress, and overall the date night was really fun.
