Still feels the same, like no time has passed. Richard came home little more than an hour ago, and the caffiene filled my body with such renewed strength that I almost felt I could go out for a walk. But it’s raining, and my book would get wet.
At the end of my mini challenge, I told myself to pick shorter books this time, things that will hold my attention for 300 pages and then let me go to find other worlds. I didn’t follow my own advice, now having read 390 pages out of 630. I’m not sure I’d give myself the same advice again. As much as I think the breaks in setting would be appreciated, I wonder that I haven’t been able to willingly put this book down. I carry it with me to the kitchen, hoping not to step on anything sharp as my eyes eat up the words. No, it’s probably better to read one very long book through the whole thing, rather than welcome breaks and message boards in between books.
