Someone is doing this somewhere else; however, they’ll be conducting this challenge on a day when I work for 8 hours and thus won’t be able to read or post in my journal. Therefore, I’ve decided to “borrow” the concept and create a challenge for myself (which, if you like, you can do also, but I’m really only doing this for myself).
So I’ve set my personal 24 hour reading challenge to Friday, October 26, 2007. Anyone with me? I thought not. :p
For warm-ups, though, this Friday (October 12), I am going to do a mini 12-hour reading challenge for myself. During both challenges, and assuming I don’t completely lose track of time with my face stuck in a book, I’ll come and update at the end of each hour explaining what book I’m reading and my progress so far. I’m not going to make a list of books to read beforehand (God knows I already have a ton of books on my to-be-read pile); the challenge comes from reading books for 12/24 hours straight, not from reading certain books for that long.
I am really looking forward to this.
