Hour 12

Richard came home with the last Post Secret book so I spent the remaining 40 minutes or so of my 12 hours flipping through that with him, completely ignoring Cicero. (It’s still reading, I promise.)
So in summary I read for about 9 hours or so, with the rest of the period being interrupted by bathroom breaks, eating, the turtle, a trip to the grocery store, dropping Richard off at work, depositing my paycheck, and checking my parents’ mail. I finished only 1 book in the paranormal romance genre, but started 1 book in the biography genre. In total, I read 401 pages, giving me roughly 45 pages per hour, which means it takes me a little bit more than a minute to read a single page.
Next time I will stick to my aforementioned plans and pick slightly shorter books, though I do have plans to spend the bulk of my day off tomorrow getting through at least half of Cicero. I won’t take miscellaneous trips to the grocery store - I’ll have to be well-stocked in desired food sources before I start the challenge - and above all else, Richard has to find his own ride to work because, it seems, once I get out of the house, I don’t want to come back.

This is really giving me a great preview of how the readathon next weekend might go for people! I’m so glad you did this. I will probably link to you as an example of how Readers can update frequently.
