Fiction and Other Original Work
I have been writing since the beginning of time, or at least since I’ve been able to write and form my own thoughts. My first short story was about a little boy (aptly named after my brother) and a little girl (aptly named after myself) who received a bundle of puppies (aptly named after a few of Disney’s dalmations) for Christmas.
Here is my writing in all of its unedited glory. I pride myself on having (more or less) pretty good first drafts, so none of the selections below should be completely unreadable. I do plan on editing in the future; for now, I’ll rely on any anonymous visitor who would like to dedicate his or her time to sending me an edited version.
Short Stories
Don’t be surprised when you realize that all of my stories have something to do with death.
Eloise: A little girl lost.
Pictures in the Mirror: Your grandmother’s dreams.
Revelation: The after-life.
Story of an Hour: Inspired by Kate Chopin
Earthquake: A visit to the hospital.
Zola and the Tree: A really weird fairy tale.
Fragments
These are called fragments because they aren’t complete stories. They’re ideas, moments in time, “pictures” of lives (if you will). A few are also beginnings of stories I never finished. (I’m hoping that by displaying them I’ll get back to them.)

Sunday Scribblings
Sunday Scribblings is a meme website that I’ve decided to start participating in. All entries at this time are character development for my 2008 NaNoWriMo entry. They’re more or less fragments also, but specialised and with a purpose.

“A Thought”
In one of its earlier forms, this domain didn’t have a life blog. Instead, it had a small snippet - a “thought” - on the index page. while not technically fiction, I used them as writing warm-up. You may read them if you’d like.
Nanowrimo
In 2006, I tried writing a young adult novel and failed miserably. Here are the parts of it that I find most appealing.

I use Lulu.com to self-publish my book ideas.
Older Writing
Fifteen: A script I began when there were 10,000 of those “Ella Enchanted” types of movies out. (Extremely long.)
Penny West: From high school when I thought I would be the next great American novelist.
Poetry: This is why I no longer write poetry.
